Taking a road trip this summer around North America and hoping that this will be a convenient way to share stories and photos with family and friends.

Tijuana
Driving into Mexico looks a whole lot easier than driving out. I avoided the issue by walking. I took a trolley down to the border and walked through some gates into Tijuana - there is absolutely no security checkpoint whatsoever for walking into Mexico - crazy. It was a grimy, smelly, noisy place where I was constantly hounded by peddlers selling anything and everything. It was annoying but overall worth seeing. I had a yummy, cheap lunch and walked around a lot. I noticed that there's a ton of pharmacies right at the border crossing, and apparently the mullet is still a popular haircut for guys in Mexico. Walking back into the US did require a security check similar to airport customs. And now I can say that my roadtrip included 3 countries.
